Shikkar No doubt this is one of the best movies of our Lalettan. Should be among his 5 best movies.

Comeback of the Warrior Shikkar is excellent,first superhit padmakumar.Climax is up to the mark,Laletta we are for next christy varghese in Christian Brothers.

Shikkar is an Avarage movie Please give honest theater reports my friends...As I am a die hard mohanlal fan, I cant rate this movie as good or excellent. First half of the movie is really unbearable with lot of problems in casting. Not at all related to the original story. Suraj, Jagathy, Kalabhavan mani and Mythili is utter waste and useless for the story.
The original story starts from the second half. Samudrakkani did a great help to the movie and the teluganana incidents. But the story of revenge is not that convincing. Songs are just avarage.
In total last 45 mins is good. Manoj Pillai with camera done as excellent Job. Locations are also superb.
Last Note: Not a crowd puller. we need movies like Thanmathra, chandrolsavam Bhramaram etc of this decade. I am not mentioning Mohanlals golden age ie 1985-95. Expecting more good movies like that.
Rating : Second Half watchable.

Why? I do agree to you that we require movies like Thanmaathra, Bhramaram. But Lalettan was struggling for a mega hit to keep his name alive and Shikkar did only that. It was a surprise hit when ONV failed miserably. To be honest, I don't want hijada film like Chandrolsavam any more. It would have been a good film if Ranjith concentrated on either family or action

i definitely agree with sanju's opinion An actor stands head high in cinema industry only if superhits or megahits are there.No use of saying his acting is good so hes a successful actor,the finest example i had from my whole life experience is our great lalettan.When he had continous hits everybody applauded his acting even for below average fims and many was hits also,after when he fell down a little even a good film like Bramaram did'nt get the recognition as a hit or a huge mass applaud for his acting without borders as he used to get before.So for now a royal crowd puller like Shikkar is the very neccessary need of Mohanlal sorry my lalettan to stand head high in the industry other than a Bramaram or Thanmatra.
