The director Anwar Rasheed promises that ‘Chota Mumbai’ will be a much bigger entertainer than ‘Rajamanikyam’, filled with humor and action. Mohanlal, Jagathy Sreekumar, Siddique and Bijukuttan all have different getups; take one look at them, and you know non-stop comedy is in store for you.This is the first time Benny P Nayarambalam is writing a script for Mohanlal, as he was waiting for the right script to come along. It is the story of five-member rowdy gang ‘Chota Mumbai’ with a devil-may-care attitude towards life. The gang consists of Vasco da Gamma who is the gang leader, fondly called ‘thala’ by others. Kalabhavan Mani plays villain in the film. There is an interesting cameo done by soft-porn queen Shakeela.
