Mohanlal's much awaited movie Oru Naal Varum , which was to release on Friday (June 25) has been postponed.
According to Manian Pillai Raju the producer: “We had made all arrangements but suddenly the film exhibitors’ Federation which controls about 200 theatres in 48 release centers in Kerala has decided not to screen any new film from June 23, following refusal of Film Producer and Distributors Association to accept their earlier demands regarding screening of their films.
Now the release of the film will get delayed and will release only in July when a lot of other films too are slated for release.
In the film, Mohanlal will be seen playing a rural farmer who comes to Thiruvananthapuram after selling everything in his village for the sake of his children's higher education. He buys a plot of land and wants to build a house in the city. After drawing the plan of his new house, he submits it to the Town Planning officer (Sreenivasan) at the Corporation office. His troubles begin from then on.
Oru Naal Varum is scripted by Sreenivasan. Sameera Reddy plays the female lead in the film.
