The movie which basically follows the story of Chandramauli, a world famous drummer who was a member of a team of six who came to Chennai to make it big in music scenario. Gradually they became the most talked ones in recording studios and in no time all of them created big fans around themselves, but Chandramauli at a point decided to go abroad. He was not available for a long time as none could trace out where he was. He was last seen doing percussion programming with the South African team when they were performing at the Wembley stadium. Then there was a grape vine that he settled there at London, marrying a black girl. Many heard about him being in jail in Latin America for rearing marijuana. That was Chandramauli who was into everything, an unpredictable easy go guy.
And now creating an end to every spreading gossip, Chandramauli is now backing to India to find his old pals and members of music troupe. He was lifted back from Mumbai by his friend Guna Sekharan, who is now, a well known and successful music director in three languages. Guna also have a studio in the name 'Guna Sound Of Music’, where he composes his songs. The studio also serves as a space for the get together of their old friends.
Guna, also take initiatives to bring together Mauli with the others in their old group, to compose the music for the new film by Laljose. As he is finally together with his old friends circle including Issac, the violinist, Vichan alias Viswanathan who is the rerecording specialist, thabalist Baalu and Vishaal, Mauli decides to take a happy holiday working together, again. It was all going well till a singer Daya Sreenivas came up to sing for the film. A Mumbai born, Malayalee lady she is, Mauli who never believed in love, instantly fell for her graceful voice and character. Rock'n roll then follows what changes Daya brings up in the life of Mouli and his friends.
